A video of the brutality of Ukrainian civilian victims appears on a large screen at the UN Security Council meeting room.

The 90-second video made the conference hall silent.

In his first video address to the Security Council, President Zelensky reported on a "secondary genocide" in which at least 300 civilians were known to have been killed, accusing the Russian military of killing civilians for fun.

[Volodimir Zelensky / Ukrainian President: Civilians were killed in cars in the middle of the road, trampled by tanks.

Russia did it for fun.

This is no different from terrorism by IS.]

He also urged Russia to be removed from the permanent members of the Security Council.

[Volodimir Zelensky/President of Ukraine: Russia, the aggressor and the culprit of the war, must be expelled from the permanent members of the UN.

Therefore, they must prevent actions that block the UN's actions against the war they have waged.]

They also poured out bitterness against the Security Council itself for not acting.

[Volodimir Zelensky / President of Ukraine: Where is the 'safety' that the UN Security Council must guarantee?

'safety'

Russia has again denied the killing of civilians as a lie.

[Vasily Nevenza/Russian Ambassador to the United Nations: Today, we also heard many lies about Russian soldiers and military.

The reason we entered Ukraine is not to occupy it, but to bring the long-awaited peace.]

In the midst of this, China has stepped forward with a strong presence in Russia.

[Zhang Jun/Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations: You should not draw conclusions on any accusations before considering the facts.

Relevant countries should refrain from first and avoid baseless accusations.]

The Western world sympathizes with President Zelensky's anger, and the US proposes to the Security Council that Russia's position as a member of the UN Human Rights Council is the height of hypocrisy and deprives the Security Council. Russian criticism continued.
