Following the revelations about massacres and atrocities in Butja outside Kyiv, SVT's team is in place in the city.

It is a small idyllic suburb that has been transformed into a cemetery, says SVT: foreign reporter Bengt Norborg and photographer Emil Larsson.

They describe how people now emerge from their hiding places to get food and other necessities.

Daniel Sedov is one of the survivors.

He talks about the atrocities of the Russian military against civilians in the city.

- They did not have time to run away and therefore two dead bodies are lying there, he says and points.

Who shot them?

- Russian soldiers.

The pictures from the city of Butja have shaken an entire world.

On Monday, SVT's correspondent, together with other foreign journalists, visited the place where hundreds of civilians were murdered during the Russian occupation.

- People with tied hands who have been shot in the head and buried in pits.

And everyone you meet here in Butja has a story - they have seen things for themselves and lost loved ones - they have been through the worst and tell about it, SVT's foreign reporter Bengt Norborg said on Monday.
