During the night of Monday to Tuesday, a violent fire broke out in a two-storey house located on avenue d'Alsace, in Roubaix, in the North.

Several people, trapped inside the house, were rescued by firefighters, we learned from the departmental fire and rescue service of the North (SDIS).

The intervention of firefighters was triggered shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday for a fire that broke out on the ground floor of a two-storey house divided into three apartments.

When the emergency services arrived on the scene, they found that 6 people, including two children, were calling for help from the windows of the first and second floors of the house.

The firefighters immediately implemented two hand ladders to evacuate the inhabitants of the first floor.

It took a lift truck to rescue the occupants of the second floor.

None of them were injured.

A seventh person, left by his own means through the roofs, was slightly injured and was transported to the hospital center.

His condition did not cause concern.
