Part of the reserve funds to be used to relocate the presidential office to Yongsan will be processed at the extraordinary cabinet meeting today (6th).

This includes only the cost of relocating the original Ministry of National Defense to another location, so it seems difficult to move into Yongsan from the first day in office as President-elect Yoon declared.

Blue House announced today that it will handle the preliminary budget for the Blue House relocation at an extraordinary cabinet meeting presided over by the Prime Minister today.

It is known that 36 billion won will be processed first out of the 49.6 billion won requested by the elected party.

An official from the Blue House explained, "This 36 billion won is the cost of emptying the Ministry of National Defense, and does not include the cost of moving the presidential office into the Ministry of National Defense."

However, it is reported that the condition is that the relocation of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Ministry of National Defense will be carried out as long as there are no disruptions to the South Korea-U.S. joint exercises scheduled until the 28th.

It seems likely that the processing of the cost of moving into the office will take place after the Korea-US joint exercise or after Yoon Seok-yeol took office.

The president-elect said, "As the processing of reserve funds was delayed compared to the original plan, it became difficult to realize the promise of President-elect Yoon to start work in the new office in Yongsan on May 10, the first day of his inauguration."

President-elect Yoon is expected to use the current Tongui-dong Transition Committee office as his office for the time being after taking office.

The president-elect emphasized that the Blue House will be open from the first day of the inauguration of President-elect Yoon in the section titled 'Blue House relocation and opening', which was created separately on the website of the transition committee.
