China News Agency, Los Angeles, April 5 (Xinhua) -- A man was killed in a shooting on a highway in Los Angeles County, California, on April 5.

  According to Los Angeles County Police, the shooting occurred at 1 a.m. local time on the 5th, near an exit ramp in the northbound lane of the 710 Freeway in Bell Gardens.

It can be seen from the live video that there are multiple bullet holes and other gunshot marks on the door and window glass on the right side of the victim's vehicle.

  Police said the victim was driving on Highway 710 when the driver of a black sedan opened fire on him.

After the victim was shot, he insisted on parking the car on the side of the road and called 911. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, where he died of his injuries.

The suspect is still at large, and the motive for the crime is unknown.

  According to local media reports, just two days ago, there was also a road shooting in La Mirada, Los Angeles County.

At noon on April 3, a man was shot while driving on Valley View Avenue in La Mirada, the vehicle rolled over and crashed, and the victim died on the spot.

Firefighters rescued the man's body from the wreckage of the car, where a coroner found a gunshot wound to the chest.

  Los Angeles County Police identified the man as 56-year-old Fernando Andrade on the 4th.

The victim's brother, Samuel Castaneda, told local media that Fernando was a roof repairman and the accident happened not far from his home.

Nearby residents said they heard about two or three gunshots, followed by a loud crash of a car.

Castaneda said his brother got on well with everyone and didn't know why someone wanted to take his life.
