China News Service, April 5. According to Kyodo News, on the 5th local time, 20 Ukrainian refugees took a Japanese government plane from Poland to Tokyo Haneda Airport.

It is reported that Japanese Foreign Minister Lin Fangzheng has returned from a three-day visit to Poland, and the 20 Ukrainian refugees arrived in Japan with him.

According to reports, the 20 refugees will enter the country with a "short-term stay" (90-day) residency status and can leave the airport directly if they are admitted.

If there are no applicants, they will be quarantined in a hotel prepared by the government and then stay in Japan with the support of local governments or companies.

The Japanese government said it would provide living expenses and Japanese language education for the refugees.

The Japanese government will allow the change of the status of residence to a "specified activity" (1 year) for employment in Japan according to the individual's wishes.

In addition to providing a certain amount of living and medical expenses during their stay, they will also be given vocational training and job introductions, and support will be provided for their return to Ukraine or to a third country.

Previously, the Japanese government had approved the entry of 404 Ukrainian refugees between March 2 and April 3.

According to the latest figures from the UNHCR, more than 4.2 million people have fled Ukraine as refugees, of which more than 2.46 million are in Poland.
