On December 6, the county administrative board made an unannounced inspection of a property in Norrbotten, outdoors it was minus 19 degrees and the night before it was as cold as minus 29 degrees.

On the spot, the inspectors found 35 dogs, 23 adult dogs and two litters of puppies, who were permanently staying outdoors in resting yards.

Their only protection against the cold was unheated huts.

Several of the puppies were severely malnourished.

Different races

Both puppies and adult dogs are for sale after being housed at a dog boarding house over the winter.

Some of the young dogs are of mixed breed between Weimarans and possibly Labrador or some similar breed.

But most of the dogs are Alaskan husky-type draft dogs.

For sale

On Friday, April 1, the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten made a new decision that the dogs should be sold or transferred immediately.

On Tuesday, the ad appeared on the county administrative board's website.

- Now we can start sales and transfer, says Anna Modig.

One of the 33 dogs is a young Alaskan husky.

The male dog is probably 1 year old and is wild-colored / gray with light legs.

He is described as friendly and a little cautious but active and energetic.
