Foreign Minister Hayashi will visit Belgium from the 6th to the 3rd and attend the G7 = Foreign Ministers' Meetings of the 7 major countries.

We would like to exchange opinions on the latest situation in Ukraine and confirm cooperation in future measures including sanctions against Russia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Foreign Minister Hayashi will visit Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on a three-day schedule from the 6th to the 8th of this month.

Minister Hayashi attended the G7 foreign ministers' meeting scheduled on the 7th, and was found to have killed many citizens in the suburbs of Kieu, the capital of Ukraine, where Russian troops withdrew. We would like to exchange opinions on the situation in Ukraine and confirm cooperation in future measures including sanctions against Russia.

Minister Hayashi will also attend the NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Foreign Ministers' Meeting of partner countries including Japan, South Korea and Australia, which will also be held on the 7th.

This is the first time that the Japanese Foreign Minister has attended this meeting, and along with confirming cooperation over the situation in Ukraine, he shared the recognition that Russia's military invasion could shake the foundation of the entire international order, including the Asian region, and NATO. We are also appealing to countries the importance of realizing a "free and open Indo-Pacific".
