After creating a new innovation division, Coca-Cola is preparing to launch a drink with a unique taste.

Indeed, the Coca-Cola Zero Byte must evoke with consumers the taste of… pixels, as CNN reports quoted by Capital.

“Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte makes the intangible taste of the pixel tangible,” said Oana Vlad, Senior Director of Strategy at Coca-Cola.

According to her, the drink will have "the Coca-Cola taste you know and love with elements that are bright at the start and refreshing at the end."

No one has ever tasted the flavor of a pixel, so the company has free rein to let its imagination run wild, but also that of consumers.

A new drink revealed in Fortnite

This drink will be available from May 2, 2022 online in the United States and then while supplies last.

Other Latin American countries and even China will also have the opportunity to taste this unique Coca-Cola, the announcement of which was made via the Fortnite video game.

It is the second innovative drink launched by this division of the American giant after Coca-Cola Starlight, a version of the iconic soda with a flavor “inspired by space”.

“Our fans are intrigued;

they love playful novelty.

The abstract nature of flavor descriptions provides an opportunity for debate and discussion,” Oana Vlad told CNN.
