Wilda disappeared during a walk in 2015 but recently appeared in Rörsjöparken in central Malmö.

After some detective work on the part of the police, she has now been able to return home to her overjoyed owner.

- An absolutely fantastic story, says the police's preliminary investigation leader Alexandra Jangsell to SVT News.

According to Malmö Police's Facebook page, Wilda was significantly stressed and shaken when she was first observed in the park by a private person, who in that situation chose to hand her over to the police.

It is unclear where Wilda was

A difficult-to-interpret chip marking in the dog's ear became the decisive clue and after a series of calls to the Swedish Board of Agriculture, it was finally possible to establish the dog's - and thus the owner's - correct identity.

- It was an incredibly touching moment to see the two reunite, it was a wild joy.

We have no idea where Wilda has kept her house for these seven years, but since she seemed to be feeling reasonably well, you can at least guess that someone took care of her in the meantime, says Alexandra Jangsell.
