Two deaths in two weeks

This Sunday evening in June 2020, shortly after 10 p.m., a helmeted shooter killed this 39-year-old municipal officer, unknown to the police and justice services, on the terrace of this brasserie.

He also injured a second man, François-Xavier Salini-Ricci, who was killed in February 2021 by police fire from the police when he was arrested as part of an investigation into another assassination perpetrated in Ajaccio on 18 June 2020, that of Alexandre Giacopelli.

François-Xavier Salini-Ricci was suspected of being involved in the response to the attack he had suffered at the L'Aktuel brewery, a response which resulted, eleven days later, in the death of Alexandre Giacopelli , 28, on the terrace of a snack bar in Ajaccio.

In the investigation into the assassination of Alexandre Giacopelli, four people have been indicted.

These two assassinations could be linked to the split of an Ajaccian criminal gang, several sources familiar with the matter had indicated at the time of the events.
