Linda Aune's father died in covid-19 at iva - was not allowed to say goodbye

Linda Aune herself had tested positive for covid-19 in connection with her father being admitted to IVA in Karlstad.

Therefore, she was not allowed to visit him and he was so taken away that they could never say goodbye over the phone.

The time when her father was hospitalized was a single long wait for the iva staff to call.

- It's probably one of the toughest things I've had to go through, says Linda Aune.

"He was my hero"

It has now been just over a year since that message came.

Johnny's father lived just a stone's throw away and the loss is still great.

- He was my hero.

He was always there, says Linda Aune.

Was he afraid of the pandemic?

- Yes, he was.
