Everyone over the age of 65 is now offered a fourth dose of covid vaccine - the vaccine coordinator in Västerbotten: "There will probably be more doses then as well"

The reason why they now offer a larger group the fourth dose is that people get covid sick, even though they have taken three doses.

- The problem with this vaccine is that it does not protect against the spread of infection.

You can become infected, but we know that the vaccine protects well against serious illness so you do not get as ill, says Ronny Lestander.

Will it be a fifth dose as well?

- There will probably be more doses, but hopefully only this autumn when we know how the virus has developed during the summer, says Ronny Lestander.
