Currently 22,835 Covid patients are being treated in French hospitals, compared to 22,251 on Sunday and 21,073 a week ago.

Over the past seven days, 8,513 hospitalizations have been recorded, compared to 6,968 the previous Monday.

This figure is still far from the recent peak of the wave reached in early February (more than 33,350), but confirms a slight rise in the fifth wave observed since the end of March.

The pressure remains contained on the critical care services, which treat the most serious cases of the disease.

On Monday, 1,541 patients were cared for in these services (including intensive care), a figure that has been stable for several days.

On the other hand, over the last seven days, 770 new Covid patients have been admitted to these services, compared to 612 the previous Monday.

Sars-CoV-2 virus contaminations remain at a high level, with a seven-day average of more than 138,000 daily cases, 10,000 more than a week ago - 27,648 positive cases were recorded on Monday but at coming out of a weekend, this indicator is not significant on a single day.
