US President Joe Biden has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to be brought to trial for war crimes after the remains of hundreds of civilians believed to have been executed by Russian forces were found in the Bucha region of Ukraine.

The Associated Press reported that President Biden told reporters that "you saw what happened in the secondary car".

President Biden once again accused Putin of being a "war criminal".

He added that he would impose more sanctions on Russia.

Earlier, Ukrainian authorities claimed that it was evidence of genocide, claiming that hundreds of civilian bodies were recovered from areas occupied by Russian forces such as Bucha and retreated.

However, Russia denies the allegations that the civilian massacre disclosed by the Ukrainian government was fabricated to slander Russia.
