Over 8000 spectators were in place to watch Kalmar FF's season premiere against Malmö this weekend.

The Kalmar Police's Facebook page describes how burning Bengals are thrown in the stands, a spectator gets sparks in his eyes and has to seek medical attention.

Another person gets burns on his hand when he tries to pick up a Bengal from the ground.

According to the police's spokesperson in the southern region, about 80 reports of violations of the Public Order Act have been made.

- It is unfortunately common with pyrotechnics in the big matches, says police spokesman Robert Loeffel.

All football matches are monitored by cameras and special supporter police can often identify supporters.

In connection with this match, a number of people have also been given a restraining order issued by prosecutors.

They will, as the police write on their Facebook page, "get to watch the rest of the season's matches at home on TV".
