The Var gendarmes intervened early on Monday morning to evacuate demonstrators who were blocking the Puget-sur-Argens oil depot.
The demonstrators, who are protesting against the price of petrol and fuel, arrived around 4:30 a.m. and blocked access to the site with trash cans and barriers.
A fire was lit on the adjoining roundabout by the group of demonstrators claiming to be "yellow vests", according to the gendarmerie.
The intervention of the gendarmes took place at 7 am.
During this, no incident was reported, we were told.
In recent days, blockages and attempts to block oil depots have multiplied.
