A young woman and her mother, aged 28 and 64, were hospitalized after being seriously stabbed this Friday evening in an apartment in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
In serious condition, the victims were initially treated at a city hospital, reports

Arrest and custody
A police investigation for attempted murder has been initiated.
A 30-year-old suspected of being the attacker was arrested the day after the incident and placed in police custody.
He was to be presented to the public prosecutor before his indictment by an investigating judge on Monday.
Targeted by an obligation to leave the territory, he would have been hosted by the two victims but had fled.
Following an argument, he left the apartment to buy a knife before returning to the apartment.
