In the Vaucluse, the inhabitants of several municipalities are mobilizing against olfactory nuisances.

A sludge treatment plant located in Mondragon has been a problem for several years, reports

Le Dauphiné

.

This Friday, the association Aménager sans Harm met to take stock of the situation.

Twenty people gathered in Bollène (Vaucluse) at the call of the organization for the defense of the living environment created in 2000.

Less nuisance thanks to Suez's efforts

Residents residing near the plant, managed by Suez, pointed out that the olfactory nuisance continued.

They are mainly due to the passage of sludge transport trucks near homes.

Suez's efforts on the subject have partially borne fruit, with these nuisances becoming rarer.

The association now plans to request the creation of a local information commission from the mayor of Mondragon in order to follow up on the file.

If the situation seems to be improving, vigilance is always in order, noted the volunteers of the structure.
