On April 3, local time, the Sacramento, California, police department said that six people were killed and 12 others were injured in a mass shooting that occurred in the early morning of that day, with multiple gunmen involved in the crime.

  The police pointed out that the shooting took place at about 2 am that day, and the dead included three women and three men, and the suspects are still at large.

Police recovered at least one gun at the scene.

  The video posted on social media showed people fleeing at the scene of the crime. More than 70 gunshots could be heard in the background of the video, and multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

  California Gov. Gavin Newsom called the shooting "another horrific act of gun violence."

He said the California government is cooperating with local law enforcement on the investigation.
