The statue of the Peace Girl, which symbolizes the victims of Japanese military comfort women, was exhibited in Tokyo for the first time in 7 years.

Last year, the exhibition was postponed due to opposition from the right wing groups, but this time, right-wing groups using loudspeakers and vehicles continued to disrupt the exhibition hall.

The works of 16 artists, including the Statue of Peace, were exhibited at 'Exhibition of Unfreedom of Expression Tokyo 2022', which will be held for four days from today (2nd).

Tokyoites who entered the exhibition held hands and wept while holding hands of a statue of a girl representing the victims of Japanese military comfort women.

The sculpture has the feel of a doll, but it felt like a real person with my skin.]

Originally, the organizers had planned to hold the Tokyo exhibition last year, but it was postponed due to the disturbance of right-wing groups and the reluctance of the exhibition hall to rent the venue.

It has been about 10 months since the Statue of Peace was postponed due to interference from the right wingers in June last year to meet the Tokyo audience.

In the exhibition hall, not only inspecting belongings before entering, but also metal detectors appeared for fear of intrusion by right-wing groups.

Right-wing groups then continued to disrupt, using loudspeakers and vehicles outside the exhibition hall.

[Where is the stupid (expression) freedom!]

Some right-wingers trying to access the exhibition were stopped by the police.

The organizers said that the exhibition should continue and that the exhibition will continue this year in four locations, including Tokyo and Nagoya.
