5.3-magnitude earthquake strikes Philippines

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted the island of Mindanao in the Philippines on Sunday.

And the Bloomberg News Agency quoted the Euro-Mediterranean Earthquake Monitoring Center as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km below sea level, at 9.11 degrees north latitude and 126.67 degrees east longitude.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material losses.
