The memorial ceremony for the victims of the Jeju April 3rd was held, starting with a one-minute silent siren.



Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom, who attended as the government representative for the continued civilian sacrifices for seven years and seven months since 1947, emphasized that he will fulfill all his responsibilities to ensure sufficient compensation is provided.

Yoon Seok-yeol, the elected Indian who visited Jeju again following the presidential election in February. We promised to continue our efforts to restore the honor of the victims and their families.

It is the first time for a conservative party president-elect to attend the 4·3 memorial ceremony. .



President Moon Jae-in, who visited the memorial service three times during his tenure, said through SNS this time, "It was a great reward to have been with Jeju 4 3 for 5 years" and "I look forward to continuing efforts in the next government."



This commemoration ceremony was held on the 12th, ahead of the enforcement of the '4·3 Special Act', which stipulates compensation standards for the victims of 4·3.



According to the special law, victims and their families can receive compensation of up to 90 million won through application starting in June.
