At 4.01, the police received a call: A person with suspected gunshot wounds was in the emergency room at Vrinnevis Hospital in Norrköping.
- We went there and the suspicions were strengthened by what we learned, says Thomas Agnevik, press spokesperson at the Police in Östergötland.
Attempted murder
The police began a preliminary investigation into attempted murder at 04.12.
It is a man in his 25s who was shot in the leg, but that person has not been so interested in participating in the investigation, according to Thomas Agnevik.
The injured man has not been convicted of any serious crimes, according to the police spokesperson.
Calls for observations
- We are now working on a hypothesis that it should have happened in a courtyard on Styrmansgatan in Norrköping, says Thomas Agnevik.
The police are on site and have carried out a forensic investigation which has so far strengthened the suspicions that the shooting took place there.
No person has yet been suspected or arrested for the crime.
The police would like to get in touch with people who have seen or heard something in connection with the suspected shooting or observations in general around Styrmansgatan just before four o'clock last night.
