China News Service, April 2. According to the US "World Journal" report, in order to alleviate the impact of the new crown epidemic on small businesses and help businesses tide over the difficulties, the San Francisco Bureau of Economic and Labor Development launched a total of 2 million yuan to assist small business rental projects.

The Self-Help Center for the Elderly voluntarily helps merchants in Chinatown to apply for the program.

Chinatown Commercial Commissioner Kifer Hu said the Self-Help Service for the Elderly is helping more than 20 businesses apply for rental assistance programs.

Hu Sheng said that these 20 small businesses in Chinatown are mostly service industries, most of which are barber shops and massage shops.

"The lack of passenger traffic in Chinatown and the decrease in international tourists have led to difficulties in some business operations. Their daily turnover is only 100 yuan, or even tens of yuan." Hu Sheng said, "Without business, it becomes difficult to pay rent." The rental assistance program is a one-time subsidy, up to 35,000 yuan.

It is reported that in order to let more merchants know more information, the Elderly Self-Service Office has also carried out several lectures for shopkeepers to teach some knowledge on how to apply for government subsidies.
