Yesterday, Saturday, Palestinian factions vowed to respond to the assassination of 3 young men who were killed by Israeli occupation forces' fire in an ambush south of Jenin, while Israel announced that it had thwarted a new armed attack attempt.

The Islamic Jihad movement held the Israeli occupation forces fully responsible for the assassination of 3 of its members near a crossroads at the entrance to the town of Arraba, south of Jenin.

The movement said that the response "will be on the scale of the crime committed by the occupation army, which represented an attack on the sanctity of the month of Ramadan."

The movement stressed that the blood of its martyrs will not be in vain, and that the resistance continues to respond to the continuous Israeli attacks.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhala, said that "the recent operations are defining the features of our future away from profane peace and normalization conferences."

In the same context, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the policy of murder and assassinations pursued by the occupation against the Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, will not provide him with the security he is looking for, and will not grant him legitimacy on the land of Palestine.

The movement stressed that the Palestinian people will be more determined to strengthen their resistance and clash with the occupation in all arenas, in retaliation for the blood of the martyrs.

In turn, the Palestinian presidency condemned the assassination, and warned in a statement that the daily Israeli escalation is dangerous and will explode the situation on a large scale.

Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh also described the assassination of the three young men and what preceded them, as horrific crimes that require accountability before the International Criminal Court.

Shtayyeh called on Israel's leaders to stop committing crimes and violations against the Palestinians, and to respond to their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.

I prevented them from being treated

Regarding the circumstances of the assassination, eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces fired at a Palestinian vehicle carrying the three young men, and left them to bleed until they died.

Sources in the Red Crescent also confirmed that its crews were prevented from providing aid to the martyrs after they were shot, and that the occupation kept their bodies and refused to hand them over to them, and transferred them to military vehicles.

Pictures of the martyr Seif Abu Libda circulated on social media, declaring that he is a member of Saraya al-Quds, the military arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement, while the factional identity of the other two martyrs is not yet clear.

For its part, the Israeli army said that a special unit carried out an operation against an armed Palestinian cell, killing 3 Palestinians.

The occupation forces admitted that four of their soldiers were wounded in the operation, one of them seriously.

The Israeli government also confirmed that a ticking bomb had been dismantled, and there are expectations that there are other bombs that are being dealt with before they reach Israel.

For its part, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that 200 soldiers were sent from training to special units, to reinforce the police forces in occupied Jerusalem.
