After 182 days of unforgettable experiences, Expo 2020 Dubai came to its conclusion, after recording more than 24,102,967 visits, welcoming 192 countries, and showing the world what can be achieved when humanity meets.
As the first international Expo to be held in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, and the first global event of this size and magnitude to be held since the beginning of the pandemic, Expo 2020 was a great achievement for Dubai and heralded a historical moment for the United Arab Emirates, and gained greater importance due to its coinciding with the country’s golden jubilee, He paved the way for future generations of change-makers to continue working on the legacy of Expo 2020.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, and Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, said: “After an impressive six months, we are extremely proud to be able to organize and inspire a World Expo that has achieved and inspired the motto Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.
