The crash killed all four people on board the two planes, including two student pilots and two coaches.

  Yonhap News Agency quoted local fire department sources as saying that the cause of the accident was presumed to be the collision of two trainer planes in flight.

The Korean Air Force said that although the two planes had activated the emergency escape function, no one was found alive after a search.

  According to the Blue House, South Korean President Moon Jae-in expressed his condolences on the 1st to the four officers and soldiers who died in the collision of the Air Force trainer plane, and may they sleep forever in the sky of the motherland.

In order to prevent such accidents from happening again, the relevant departments of the Korean Air Force said that they will set up a countermeasures headquarters and conduct a detailed investigation of the cause of the Sacheon accident.
