The Gießen district court has ruled that the "unknown female person", who her supporters call "Ella", must remain in custody.

However, the small criminal court reduced the sentence after the professional hearing.

Like the Alsfeld district court, it ruled in the first instance for dangerous bodily harm, physical assault and resistance to law enforcement officials, but reduced the prison sentence by half a year to 21 months.

The judges saw no reason to suspend the sentence.

The chamber chairman broke off the justification of the verdict after supporters of the accused in the auditorium protested the decision with songs, stamping and jeering.

The accused can appeal against the verdict.
