Workers from several nationalities who participated in the construction of the Expo 2020 Dubai site confirmed their pride in contributing to writing the achievement of the international exhibition, which reached its conclusion yesterday, noting that they enjoyed - like millions of visitors - the fruits of their hard work closely, while seeing the innovations in the event. A world that will remain in their memory forever.

The living legacy that Expo Dubai represents is due to the efforts of the dedicated team of workers, who were supported by workers' welfare, health and safety experts, and whose efforts transformed what was a vast desert expanse in the Dubai South region into the site of the international exhibition.

Since its first day, the event was keen to invite the workers to return to the site, in order to live the “Expo Dubai” experience and enjoy their time in the wonderful site that they contributed to building.

The enormity of the project’s size is evident from the large volume of work that was accomplished on the site, as the number of working hours exceeded 250 million working hours, and the project was based on 50 main contractors, more than 2,000 sub-contractors, and about 50 supervisory consultants, and the number of workers daily on the site At peak times 45 thousand workers.

The Workers' Welfare Program at Expo Dubai cooperated with all contractors to bring workers to the site for a visit, in appreciation of their efforts.
