- I am pleased that the process can be continued, because in the end it is about quite a lot of jobs for Storfors, says municipal councilor Hans Jildesten (S).

The municipal board did not agree.

The moderates reserved themselves against the decision.

Investment of hundreds of millions

As SVT reported earlier, the administrative court has overturned the municipality's decision to sell a 15-hectare land area for SEK 1 to Arctic Sustainability Group AB (ASG).

The plan was a total investment of several hundred million that the company would make in several steps and eventually provide about a hundred jobs in Storfors.

The Administrative Court considered that what the municipality promised to do entailed individual targeted support to ASG.

Thus, the City Council's decision is contrary to the Local Government Act and must therefore be repealed.

The opposition appealed

It was three opposition politicians in Storfors who appealed the then decision.

The court ruled in favor of the complainants.

Despite a new arrangement where the buyer pays a higher price and the municipality's financial commitment regarding land management, water mains, treatment plants, etc. is redone, the politicians in Storfors do not agree.

The question of the new structure will be decided in the City Council on Wednesday 13 April.
