The large hole in the asphalt arose on Thursday afternoon and parts of the road through central Härnösand have since been blocked off.
- We have had a water leak to a property and that is the reason, says Fredrik Olsson at HEMAB, Härnösands energi och miljø AB.
The water leak has now been rectified and the work of repairing the road is in progress.
- We are filling the hole, says Fredrik Olsson.
The hope is that the lane will be able to reopen on Friday night.
