Eight new EPRs ordered by Emmanuel Macron must see the light of day by 2035. How is France preparing for this energy turning point?

Specialized training and calls for projects

The state therefore offers scholarships for high school students, up to the BTS.

This year, 50 young people in ten pilot establishments will receive 600 euros per month to train for trades such as nuclear engineer, welder, boilermaker or industrial electrician.

Next year, the offer will be extended to more than twenty high schools across France.

The State also wants to help the regions create nuclear apprenticeship courses to better distribute the training offer.

At the same time, the objective is also to build in a modern way.

Two calls for projects have been launched in recent years.

The government has retained nearly 140 business ideas in all areas of nuclear. 

20,000 new jobs by 2023

Creation of new materials, simplification of production lines, reinforcement of inspections and maintenance, management of radioactive waste, or even recycling and dismantling of old plants... A total of 470 million euros have been injected into the Faculty.

Thanks to this plan, the State intends to create 20,000 jobs by 2023.
