A lucrative khat trade has just been dismantled in Brest.

Inside the car, teams from the anti-crime brigade and the canine unit seized 4.5 kilos of this euphoric plant widely consumed in the Horn of Africa.
While searching the suspect's home in Limoges, the police discovered six other kilos of khat, said the Brest prosecutor's office.
At the same time, a couple who were about to receive the goods to resell them in Brest were arrested.
A sum of 3,500 euros in cash was seized from their vehicle.
Two women tried in immediate appearance this Friday

Pending the trial, one of them was imprisoned in the Brest remand center while the other was placed under judicial supervision.
The third person, less involved in the traffic, will soon be summoned to court.
