China News Service, Beijing, April 1 (Reporter Chen Su) The "Atmospheric Environment Meteorological Bulletin (2021)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Bulletin") released by the China Meteorological Administration on April 1 shows that China's atmospheric environment will continue to improve in 2021. The number of haze days continued to decline.

At the press conference of the China Meteorological Administration held on the same day, Xue Jianjun, deputy director of the National Meteorological Center, introduced the relevant content of the "Communique".

He said that according to the analysis of meteorological observation, satellite remote sensing and environmental monitoring, China's atmospheric environment will continue to improve in 2021, and the number of haze days will continue to decline.

Among them, the average number of haze days in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Fenwei Plain and Yangtze River Delta in 2021 will be 31.7, 35.2 and 20.9 days, respectively, a decrease of 6.8, 8.8 and 5.6 days from 2020.

He introduced that the national average number of haze days in 2021 will be 35.9 days lower than the peak of 57.2 days in 2003, a drop of 63%.

The number of haze days in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Fenwei Plain, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta has decreased by 53.9, 87.5, 82.2 and 75 days from the peak since 2000, a decrease of 63%, 71%, 80%, and 97%, respectively. .

In 2021, most of the country will maintain a good level of acid rain improvement in recent years.

"It is worth noting that although the atmospheric environment is showing a positive trend, affected by unfavorable meteorological conditions, persistent, regional haze and heavy pollution weather processes in winter and regional ozone pollution weather processes in summer still occur from time to time." Xue Jianjun said, It is also necessary to continue to adhere to air pollution prevention and control actions, and continue to carry out monitoring, forecasting and early warning of heavily polluted weather.
