  • XX Extraordinary Congress Elías Bendodo will be the 'number three' of the PP and will coordinate the deputy secretaries

The president of the

Community of Madrid

, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has been one of the great stars in the national congress of the PP, with a leading role to match the one she had in the internal crisis that has led to this conclave after the head-on clash with Pablo Casado and Teodoro García Egea and has been one of the few leaders who has most explicitly referred to what happened, although without mentioning anyone.

Díaz Ayuso assured this afternoon before a packed and dedicated auditorium that "this congress is the answer to a crisis that should never have existed" and that

the

popular people must come out of this meeting in

Seville

"reinforced and aware of our responsibility".

The task, said Díaz Ayuso, is of such a caliber that "we cannot be distracted by minor issues" and requires "everyone to be involved".

Because, he has emphasized, "we are not here to win a congress, but to win elections."

And to achieve this, he has vindicated the PP of José María Aznar and the decalogue with which he refounded the party also in Seville in 1990 and which he has summarized in three pillars,

Spain

, the

1978

Constitution and

Europe

.

Ayuso has called on the PP to counteract the radicalism and incapacity of the government of Pedro Sánchez, against whom he has attacked with his usual harshness and has pointed to Alberto Núñez Feijóo as the "option that this party needs", after highlighting his "generosity and sacrifice" to take the helm of the PP right now.

The Madrid president has participated in a table together with the rest of the territorial barons, who have assigned duties to who, starting tomorrow, will direct the destinies of the first opposition party.

From Díaz Ayuso to Juanma Moreno, passing through Fernando López Miras, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco or

Juan Jesús Vivas

, the main territorial leaders of the Popular Party have pointed out to Alberto Núñez Feijóo some of those who should be axes, in their opinion, of the new stage that opens in the formation.

Unity, return to the roots or flee from centralism have focused the interventions of the presidents.

The president of the

Junta de Andalucía

, Juanma Moreno, has put the Andalusian PP at the service of the new leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and has promised him loyalty, although he has also sent him a message full of symbolism, when he has asked him to don't forget "where you come from".

It has done so in the congress that must leave behind the greatest crisis that the party has faced and that has resulted in the abrupt departure of Pablo Casado, who, among other things, has been reproached for his Caesarism and his distancing from the territories .

Moreno recalled this Friday at the PP Congress that nobody was betting on him when he ran for the 2018 elections, from which the first non-socialist government in the history of the community came out after 37 years of interrupted dominance by the PSOE.

Moreno wanted to launch, in his first speech in the conclave from which Alberto Núñez Feijóo's new PP should come out, a message of encouragement and confidence to the PP militancy at a time when the party is trying to leave the crisis behind which led to the departure of Pablo Casado and this congress, and he has done so by recalling the congress also held in Seville in 1990, in which José María Aznar carried out the refounding of the party.

He recalled the phrase that

Manuel Fraga

pronounced at the time : "politics is the art of the possible, to achieve it you have to try the impossible many times", as a reminder that difficulties can be overcome and, in this sense, he has proclaimed that this 20th congress is already "a success" and not only because of the "illusion" that is breathed, he said, in the

Palacio de Congresos

de Sevilla, but also and above all "in the street".

Sevilla, Moreno has stated, is "a talisman" and it is not by chance, he has come to say that even the Spanish team goes to the Andalusian capital "when they have a difficult game".

"From here we are going to come out winners, for the good of Spain", the Andalusian baron has sentenced.

The leader of the Andalusian PP has insisted to all those who are in the opposition or are going to be candidates in the upcoming elections that "nothing is impossible in the PP" and Alberto Núñez Feijóo has guaranteed Andalusia's support.

"From the south we are going to push with all our forces", he has promised the new national leader of the party.

Mañueco: "In Castilla y León the principles of the PP will govern"

The president of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has also reminded Feijóo of the weight of the territorial structures, who has highlighted that they are one of the main strengths of the Popular Party and that he has advocated that they have "weight and dynamism" in the new PP that will lead the Galician officially from tomorrow.

Fernández Mañueco has defended himself against those who have questioned him for having agreed the first coalition government between the PP and Vox -which has entered an autonomous government for the first time- and has guaranteed that the alliance with Santiago Abascal's party will not divert the course of a community that has been managed by the PP for more than 30 years.

In this sense, he has vindicated himself as the successor of

Juan Vicente Herrera

,

Juan José Lucas

,

Jesús Posada

and

José María Aznar

, and has assured that in Castilla y León "what is going to govern are the principles and values of the PP, they will be the guide for the next four years".

Unity and 'everyone fits here' have been the mantras repeated by the president of the

Region of Murcia

, Fernando López Miras, who has emphasized the need for the PP that will come out of the Sevillian conclave not to exclude anyone.

López Miras, who was the territorial baron who hesitated the most when it came to forcing Casado out, stressed that "a strong, united and cohesive PP around a great leader is needed", a party, he added, in the that "fits all".

The message from the Murcian leader can be interpreted as a warning against possible temptations to remove those who, until a little over a month ago, supported Casado's management and has advocated integrating everyone into the PP because, he added, it has been in moments of unity when the PP has done better.

"We have to count everyone," he emphasized.
