A dialogue that brought together the first female minister in the history of the UAE, Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, and the youngest minister in the world, Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, presented the most important possibilities and drivers that contributed to making government policies and plans for half a century.

The dialogue concluded with the existence of a set of engines that pushed the wheel of growth and development, the most important of which is flexibility in dealing with events and crises that afflict the world and which inevitably affect the UAE.

The dialogue was held within the main sessions at the beginning of the closing day of the World Government Summit, reviewing the reasons behind the success of the Emirati model in appointing women and young leaders in the government of the UAE, specifically in political work, and the product of their achievements in serving the country and society.

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi stressed the importance of the meeting, as it is a dialogue between two generations that learn from each other, noting that the policy of the UAE attaches great importance to empowering women, and supporting leadership is one of the main ingredients for making transformations. Between generation and generation, and every generation learns from the other, and the policy of the UAE is based from the beginning on empowering women, by focusing on sectors such as health and education, all the way to other sectors, and this empowerment has significant effects on the structure of society and the successes of women.”

She added, "For the first time, my appointment to my ministerial position was accompanied by great reactions, and many expectations from this step, and today we see that the presence of women in ministerial positions in the Emirates, the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and the Arab world, has become a natural thing, as there are women ministers in Different and influential sites, and they are achieving remarkable successes.”

She stressed that "the leadership's support is essential to the success of any minister or minister," noting that at the beginning of her ministerial work she had many experiences related to many important and vital files, including important experiences in the World Trade Organization and others, adding: "Thanks to the support of the wise leadership. We succeeded in all these and other files.”

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi said: "This unlimited support, which believes in the capabilities of the people of the Emirates, places confidence in women, and believes that she is qualified and able to actively participate in the development process, establishes a comprehensive Emirati example, model and approach," noting that the UAE respects competence. , human capital, believes in equality, and provides a fertile environment for coexistence and building fruitful and successful partnerships.

She said: "The wise leadership in the UAE works with the government as one team, in the smallest details, and today we see the presence of women ministers in different positions, and without the leadership's vision, we would not have reached this distinguished level, and we must be aware of the fact that distinguishes our experience, especially since it is an inspiring experience. It has left a positive impact locally, regionally and globally.”

For her part, Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei said: “In my ministerial position, I learned many lessons, the most prominent of which was the importance of listening well to the inspiring leadership, imitating them, implementing directives, dealing with the challenges of the current situation in all its degrees, and thinking strategically to confront all files, and we have touched The ability of the UAE to deal with many crises, such as the Corona pandemic, and the country’s ability to achieve great achievements, including the arrival of the “Hope Probe” to the orbit of Mars, and the presence of a peaceful nuclear power plant, as we are a country with great achievements and inspiring success stories, It gives an indication of the wisdom of leadership, and the presence of a capable team that works together with dedication, sincerity and teamwork.”

She pointed out that strategic work is one of the most important secrets of success, by anticipating challenges, adding: "Our leadership has a long journey of excellence, and a comprehensive approach to thinking strategically, which provides us with a model and practical experiences that we learn from every day."

Al Mazrouei confirmed: "I learned a lot from (Mother of the Emirates), Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, when she told me that good intention and honesty are important qualities that lead to success in work, as long as these The intention is based on serving the UAE in all ways, and I have also learned from our leadership at all stages, as it is a great role model, making each person a leader in his position, within his work, or within his institution or home, where the inspirational leadership formulates positive change, and achieves influential achievements in different levels.”

She said: "The future is prosperous, and there are main ingredients that lead us to this future, including flexibility and the ability to make quick decisions, and when I was assigned to my position, it was a big test that I took with every design, and I followed all the details, and made all the notes in order to succeed in this experiment. Today, after all these years, I look with pride at the experiences of the women ministers in the UAE, the ability of Emirati women to achieve successes without limits, and I believe that one of the most important reasons for success is the work of each minister with other ministers in the spirit of one team, as if the work of each minister belongs to all ministers So that the team becomes strong and influential for the benefit of the UAE.”

And she continued, "The UAE has given everyone the opportunity, and each of us has the ability to face challenges, especially the young generation, which has an exemplary opportunity to participate in the success industry, achieve major goals, and work positively."
