2021 Casa Real adjusts to the Transparency requests to continue with the promise of Felipe VI
The Royal House has reached the
maximum level of transparency
required by the Council for Transparency and Good Governance (CTBG).
The Institution, which analyzes the ten most important bodies in Spain every year, has obtained
100%
in compliance with the mandatory information required by the body.
The Crown thus becomes the most transparent institution of all.
It was in 2014 when King Felipe VI, in his proclamation speech, said that he wanted a
"renewed monarchy"
and then it was announced that the Institution would submit to the analysis of this council, despite being exempt from it.
Since then, each year they have improved with respect to the previous one, responding and fulfilling everything that the Council asked them to be more transparent.
This year
they have improved by 21.4%
compared to the previous report.
In fact, as highlighted in the report, the reason why they have achieved 100% is because the Institution "has applied all the recommendations" made by the Council.
The CTBG values "
very positively
the evolution of compliance with the obligations of active publicity by the Royal House.
All the recommendations
made as a result of the evaluation carried out in 2021 have been applied and the rate of Compliance with Mandatory Information is stands at 100%", insists the report
The Royal House thus continues its path towards becoming
a more transparent institution
.
Since the arrival of Don Felipe, his accounts are made public every year, as well as the results report in the middle of the course.
The King also ordered that it be prohibited to accept gifts beyond the formal uses and made it mandatory to publish the gifts they receive each year.
This is the third year in which the CTBG has carried out this examination of the constitutional bodies. All of them must comply with the publicity requirements that appear in the Transparency Law of 2015 and apply the recommendations that the Council makes to them in the previous year.
In addition to Casa Real,
the Constitutional Court
and the
Ombudsman
have both obtained outstanding marks.
The worst grades have been for the Economic and Social Council and the
State Attorney General's Office.
