Several, elected officials and rural actors are "touring" the campaign headquarters of the candidates in the face-to-face this Thursday.

The objective is twofold, not only to listen to everyone's proposals in this area, but also to ask for the implementation of a plan of 10 billion euros over the next five-year period in favor of these territories.

Elected officials and rural actors are on Thursday "touring" the HQs of presidential candidates to listen to their proposals and ask them in particular "a plan of 10 billion euros" over five years for their territories.

Perception and proposals for rurality

"We are touring campaign headquarters to discuss with the candidates and their teams their perception of rurality and their proposals", explained PS senator from Nièvre Patrice Joly, before starting the day with a meeting with Laurent Jacobelli, spokesperson for Marine Le Pen's campaign, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

“We also came with a certain number of proposals concerning our territories and what they need”, added the elected official, also president of the National Association of New Ruralities (ANNR) which animates the French rural Parliament.

The rural elected officials, who were very much in demand by the candidates during their search for the 500 sponsorships required to formally run for the presidency of the Republic, intend to remind them of their expectations before the first round on April 10.

It is not "simply the agricultural aspect, which is certainly very important, but also other themes such as the phenomenon of migratory flows towards the countryside following the health crisis", specified Patrice Joly.
