In the early evening, around 7:30 p.m., a CRS motorway patrol tried to check a vehicle traveling on the A16 motorway towards Belgium.

The driver refused to comply and fled.

A chase then began between the police vehicle and the fugitive, the latter taking all the risks to try to sow the officials.

Finally, the two vehicles collided at Loon-Plage, near Dunkirk.

The emergency services intervened at 7:46 p.m. and found that three of the police officers had been slightly injured in the accident.
