Dubai Cares launches a framework that provides opportunities for all and accelerates human development

Dubai Cares, a civil society organization formally affiliated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications, has launched a comprehensive and action-oriented framework for action towards a new, future-oriented and people-centred education system that aims to transform education globally by placing children Youth are at the heart of human development.

The launch of the framework was announced by His Excellency Dr. Tariq Mohammed Al Gurg, CEO and Vice Chairman of Dubai Cares, and Chair of the Global Council for SDG 4, during a high-level session titled “Leading the Wheel of Implementation for the Prosperity of Humanity” as part of an event "Sustainable Development Goals in Implementation" hosted by the Global Councils for Sustainable Development Goals at the World Government Summit at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The session touched on the plans of the various councils on how to accelerate the successful implementation of the sustainable development goals.

The new education system will be announced on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2022 during the United Nations Education Transformation Summit to be held by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, His Excellency Antonio Guterres.

This system will contribute to placing humanity at the center of education, as it directs attention towards transforming global education and preparing individuals who are ready for the future with the opportunities it holds, by establishing core competencies that will enable them to make the most of their potential.

This education system meets the growing needs of children and youth around the world in terms of technology, connectivity, inclusion, core competencies, skills, values, leadership, gender equality, and more.

Over the next six months, Dubai Cares is set to host further consultations with key education actors including governments, ministries, UN agencies, global mechanisms, foundations and actors involved in education, the private sector, youth and others, to promote He established the framework before it was announced during the United Nations General Assembly in September this year.

Dubai Cares invites the global community to join these consultations and participate in this global movement to transform the current education system.
