The forensic examination of the woman's body and other circumstances that have emerged in the investigation have meant that there is no longer any reason to suspect crime, says chamber prosecutor Annie Runander in a press release.

- Due to confidentiality, I can not go further into the results of the forensic examination of what should have caused the woman's death, she says.

You were in custody

It was in January that the woman was found dead indoors in a small town in Ljungby municipality.

As there was uncertainty about the death, an investigation was launched into murder or manslaughter.

Quite immediately, a man in his 70s was arrested in close contact with the woman who was later arrested on suspicion of murder.

The man was arrested on the lower level of suspicion, reasonably suspected, and denied having anything to do with the death.

There are now no suspicions left against the man.

It is unclear how long he was detained.
