The cracks so large that students are evacuated from Kiruna School: "Unsafe and scary"

For four weeks, LKAB announced that the hairdressing line at Hjalmarlunbohmsskolan can no longer remain at the school.

The crack formation in the building is extensive and within a couple of weeks you have to move to replacement premises that the mining company is completing in central Kiruna.

"Nothing to choose but to trust the experts"

18 students and a teacher are affected by the move and there is some concern about being on the premises because it has gone pretty fast.

- In any case, it feels a little safer since they set up a pillar, says Ebba Lundström.

Päivi Niemi is a teacher in the hairdressing line.

- It should be experts who take care of this and who know what it looks like.

They have strengthened in the basement below us and we have no choice but to trust them, says Niemi.
