Launched in 2016, the Food Market is now a well-established gastronomic event in the Rennes landscape.
Every first Sunday of the month (except in January and August), the central halls are transformed into a temple of street-food with local chefs who delight an ever-growing audience at low prices.
This Sunday, the Marché à Manger will invite the Nourritures collective, which was created in 2020 in the capital.
Composed of about fifteen cooks and pastry chefs, it promotes “human, sustainable and dynamic gastronomy”.
In their manifesto, the members of the collective undertake to change behavior in the kitchen and to favor local products.
A partnership with the Solidarity Grocery
Solidarity is also in order within the collective which concocted meals for 150 disadvantaged people at Christmas or for migrants housed in the Poterie gymnasium.
It will be the same on Sunday with 300 dishes which will be served free of charge to students on presentation of their card.
The operation will be carried out in partnership with the Solidarity Grocery which distributes food parcels on the campuses.
