Bruno Le Maire returned to the soaring energy prices and the purchasing power of the French.

The Minister of the Economy assured that the State was putting everything in place to limit the financial pressure on the shoulders of the French, assuring that Emmanuel Macron is "the President of purchasing power", ten days before the first round of the 'presidential election.

Invited in the morning of Europe 1 this Wednesday, the Minister of the Economy reacted to the decline in the purchasing power of the French and the soaring prices of fuel and energy in France.

"Your life is your vehicle - obviously that weighs on millions of compatriots", admitted Bruno Le Maire.

"But the aid we provide is not nothing. The aid we provide of 18 cents, that's about 11 euros per tank."

The Minister of Economy added: "I'm not saying that it solves all the difficulties but it protects. It is in addition to the policy of protection against soaring petrol prices."

He concludes: We are doing everything possible to protect the French."

Emmanuel Macron, "the President of purchasing power"?

Bruno Le Maire welcomed the maneuvers of the State and mentioned the rise in energy prices.

"We are capping electricity prices and freezing gas prices."

He assured that "for five years, Emmanuel Macron was the President of purchasing power". 

He supported the measures taken during Macron's five-year term: "We supported purchasing power by valuing work and throughout the five-year term, with the activity bonus, the tax exemption for overtime, the tax-free bonus."
