A car occupied by a 16-year-old driver and his girlfriend was intercepted by the police on Tuesday afternoon in Quimper (Finistère).

The two young people were arrested after a pursuit with about twenty members of the police, including bikers.

A police officer used his weapon, reports

No injuries to report

He allegedly fired at least twice as a vehicle was heading towards him.

It was not specified when the shots were fired.

They did not cause any injuries.

The chase did not cause any bodily harm either.

The two teenagers notably took an avenue in the wrong direction before entering the city of Kerguelen, always in the opposite direction.

A police vehicle then got in their way, ending their escape.

The two suspects were taken into custody.
