Europe 1 Studio SEASON 2021 - 202207:00 a.m., March 29, 2022

Born in 1926, Svetlana Alliluyeva is Stalin's only daughter.

For the one he affectionately nicknames his "little sparrow", the dictator of the USSR is a model father.

While Stalin martyrs his people, his daughter spends her childhood cut off from the outside world, under constant surveillance.

But as she grows up, Svetlana is less and less tolerant of the security measures that govern her daily life, and has a desire for rebellion... What teenager will she become, in the shadow of a father like Stalin?

In this new episode of the podcast "At the heart of History" produced by Europe 1 Studio, Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach completes her story on the life of Svetlana Alliluyeva, Stalin's daughter.

In 1939, Europe entered the war.

Svetlana Alliluyeva, Stalin's only daughter, was then 15 years old.

But while the news from the front is terrifying, Svetlana lives her teenage years carefree.

She goes to the theatre, she goes to dance the fox trot, she no longer dresses like a child.

And soon, here she falls in love with a filmmaker named Alexis Kapler, 24 years her senior… And Jewish!

At the same time, her relationship with her father, Stalin, broke up... In this new episode of the "At the heart of History" podcast produced by Europe 1 Studio, Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach recounts the adolescence of Svetlana Alliluyeva, daughter of the leader omnipotent of the Soviet Union, Stalin.
