In Sevran, after urban violence, Zemmour says he wants to "eradicate scum"

"We will eradicate the scum as it was necessary to terrorize the terrorists", declared to the press, the Reconquest candidate after a visit to the Sevran police station.

Mr. Zemmour, who also went to a burned-out building near the city center, refers to two famous outbursts of right-wing politicians, one on the "scum" of Nicolas Sarkozy and the other on the "terrorists" of Charles Pasqua.

"We must hit them everywhere and at all levels (...) There will be no respite for them. It is not up to them to show off. It is honest people who must raise their heads, no longer lower their eyes. They are the ones who must be afraid, "said Mr. Zemmour, defending himself from any political recovery of the drama and violence.

"We are before history. That is to say, a population replacement that gives its effects, that is to say, destruction, delinquency, thefts, crimes, the complete replacement of all the norms French by foreign standards", he explained in reference to the conspiracy theory of the "great replacement".

Eric Zemmour's trip to Sevran took place without incident, although he was repeatedly verbally challenged by a handful of residents.

Sevran experienced a third night of violence, an expression of anger born after the death of a resident, killed by police fire on Saturday.

Thirteen people were arrested during the night from Monday to Tuesday.

"We mustn't come and speak ill of our neighborhood. I've been here for 40 years (...) Never had a problem. I don't want people to say that this is the area" , testified Michel Bourdiguel who presents himself as a resident of the district in reaction to the arrival of Mr. Zemmour.

Present on the sidelines of the visit, Boubaker Monji, who led a list at the last municipal elections, judged that the arrival of Mr. Zemmour was "a provocation": "if he wanted to debate there is a village hall to discuss with the population, but there he comes to do his show, behind 15 microphones it doesn't work like that".
