The accusation had been brewing for several days, the subject had even been raised at the highest level between Presidents Tshisekedi and Kagame last Thursday.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo affirms and maintains that Rwanda supports the M23 rebellion, a movement that was defeated a decade ago but has resurfaced in recent months.

He denounces the lack of progress in the process of their return to Congolese soil.

There have been clashes since the end of 2021, but it has been degenerating into real fighting for a few days now in the territory of Rutshuru north of Goma, in North Kivu.

This March 28, new clashes occurred, the M23 would have attacked positions of the Congolese army.

The FARDC claim to have arrested two Rwandan soldiers in the response operation.

During these attacks

, says Lieutenant General Constant Ndima Kongba, military governor of North Kivu,

the FARDC got their hands on two Rwandan soldiers.

The FARDC wonder about the meaning of my pooling of efforts for joint operations with a partner who respects neither his commitments vis-à-vis the DRC and even less his own word during various meetings and exchanges between leaders at all levels, and with the promise to stab the DRC in the back.

Whatever the cost, the FARDC will not leave any centimeter of our territory under the occupation of any rebellion.
