Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani signed with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid on Monday what was called the "joint strategy for warm peace between the two countries", on the sidelines of the Negev Diplomatic Summit at the invitation of the Israeli Foreign Minister.

According to the Bahrain News Agency, this strategy included "principles and foundations for strengthening joint cooperation through specific programs to increase the volume of trade exchange and enhance communication between the peoples of the two countries."

The agency added that the signed document focuses on youth, and "highlights the joint relationship as a model for coexistence and tolerance between religions and cultures in the countries of the region and the world, and supports efforts made within the framework of the peace process in the Middle East to enhance security and stability in the region."

The strategy also identified - according to the agency itself - "the main sectors that will be focused on within the joint course of action, including innovation, trade and investment, food and water security, climate change, renewable energy, health, educational and academic cooperation, digital security and tourism."

The signing was attended by Bahrain's ambassador to Israel Khaled Yousef Al-Jalahma and Israel's ambassador to Bahrain Eitan Naeh.
